Our programs use proven behavior-change methodologies such as Motivational Interviewing, Affirmative Inquiry, the Transtheoretical Model of Change, Self-Cognitive Theory, and Positive Psychology. These methodologies are effective because they help to empower people as they change behavior. Some of these practices help to boost self-esteem, build self-efficacy, and enhance happiness. Another asks people to assess their readiness to change a behavior and then provides support appropriate to their answer. Still others help people increase intrinsic motivation by encouraging them to examine what’s worked in the past or encouraging them to examine and resolve their ambivalence. These methodologies are our toolbox, and the learning environment we create with them is one of acceptance, non-coercion, and success.

Wellness Programs

These programs address specific lifestyle behaviors and require a significant period of time to deliver (4-14 weeks). They are designed to provide participants with valuable skills they can use to make changes in their life. For our worksite clients, these programs can improve the health of your employees, mediating the economic pressure of rising healthcare costs.

Wellness Workshops

These 2-session programs increase self-awareness in various areas of health and well-being. They can be effectively delivered to groups of 8-35 participants and can be customized to fit your time frame and your goals.

  • Is Your Glass Half Empty or Half Full? enhances emotional awareness and positive thinking.
  • Living in the Moment re-connects participants with the present, teaching them how to experience life more fully.
  • My Body is Talking and I’m Not Listening helps participants distinguish what it means to be well and how listening to their body can help them get there.
  • The Power of Living with core values brings participants’ choices about resilience, nutrition, and movement into alignment with what’s most important to them.

Roundtable Discussions

  • Everyday Eating provides information on ways to eat healthier without dieting.
  • Know your Numbers provides information on key biometrics such as blood pressure, cholesterol, body mass index; explores what the numbers mean and how lifestyle choices impact the numbers.
  • Meditation as Pain Relief teaches basic meditation techniques for relief of chronic pain.
  • Laughter Club provides information on the benefits of laughter and how this can be used to improve health.
  • Self-Care Strategies provides information on methods of improving self-care, such as preventative screenings.
