This article, the first of two, provides a great overview of the many types of technologies being incorporated in to workplace wellbeing programs.

My comments: Wellbeing technologies are here to stay. Wellbeing programs today almost always include some element of technology. This article provides a great (and detailed) overview of the various technologies used in workplace wellbeing programs.

Wellbeing technology in the workplace: trending now and in the future.  by Stephen Hayes (Personnel Today)

The second in a series of articles focused on wellbeing technology. The growth of health and wellbeing technology is exponential. This article addresses some of the areas where there is significant growth, in particular in wearable technologies. There is a lot of data generated from wellbeing technology. Who has access to the data and how is it being used?

My comments: There is a lot we need to pay attention to about what data is being collected in workplace wellbeing programs, how it is being used, and how employee privacy is being protected.

Telemedicine holds the promise of making medical care easy and convenient to access. Many health plans and employers are beginning to integrate telemedicine into their programs. There are still obstacles to widespread acceptance.

My comments: Educating employees on the use of telemedicine or for that matter, the correct resources to use (Primary Care, Emergency Department, etc.) will help with the proper use of telemedicine.
