ATLANTA, GA. On Friday, September 23rd, AdvancingWellness CEO, Mari Ryan, received the Outstanding Master Trainer award during the inaugural Work@Health® Conference co-hosted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and ASHLIN Management Group.

Work@Health® is an employer-based training program designed to improve the organizational health of participating employers and certified trainers, with an emphasis on strategies to reduce chronic disease and injury risk to employees while improving overall worker productivity.

The Work@Health® recognition component is designed to encourage ongoing engagement among employers and to bridge the program and external recognition/accreditation opportunities.

Overall, 14 awards were given in eight categories. Those who received recognition at this year’s conference are trainers and employers, large and small, from across the U.S. In addition to an awards ceremony, the event focused on the overall value of Work@Health® as well as the CDC’s vision for the future of workplace health promotion; and a keynote presentation on the Value of workplace health promotion by Dr. Ron Goetzel, from Truven Health Analytics.
